Electronics & Computer Engineering

The College has started Electronics and Computer Science Department in the year 2013 to meet employer demands for engineers that will develop the future economy through the use of latest technologies.

The Dual specialization as per IIT Academy study and research has many advantages over conventional programs:

  • Students will experience a deeper exposure in BOTH the verticals.
  • Students gain access to exposure of two sets of potential employers (For BOTH Electronics and Computer Engineering).
  • Students can tailor their educational experience to specific career objectives depending open their interest.
  • Students willing to take further education can opt for any of the two(CSE or ECE) engineering program.

The Department is having highly skilled faculty members who adopting innovative teaching methodologies for the betterment of student community.

To Bridge the gap between academics and industry requirement Department has signed a number of MOUs with industry giants like Microsoft, IBM, Oracle, CISCO and many more.

Internal Assessment in each theory subject consists of 30 marks for 2nd Year:

  • 20 Marks to be assessed on the basis of Sessional Examinations (details appended below).

Guidelines and Syllabus for Sessional Examinations:

  • All the 3 Sessional examinations are compulsory and will be strictly conducted on the University Examination pattern.

  • Second Sessional Examination will be conducted from the Syllabus covered, after the 1st Sessional examination in a subject up to the stipulated date of exams or a maximum of two units, (Unit 3 and 4), whichever is less.
  • Question Papers in both the Sessional will be set on the University pattern (formats attached to be strictly followed).
  • 1st and 2nd Sessional Examination will be of 50 marks, to be converted into 5 marks after evaluation for 2nd Year.
  • 1st and 2nd Sessional Examination will be of 75 marks, to be converted into 7.5 marks after evaluation for 3rd and 4th Year.
  • Duration of Sessional Examination will be 2 hours.

Pre-University Examination:

  • Pre-University question paper has to be set from the Complete Syllabus of the subject as prescribed by the University.
  • Duration of Pre-University Examination will be 3 hours.
  • Section A: Q.1. has 10 Short answer type Questions and which are compulsory.
  • Section B: has 8 Questions, any 5 Questions are to be attempted and which are of descriptive, medium and numerical type.
  • Section C: has 3 Questions, any 2 Questions are to be attempted, and which are of descriptive, lengthy and numerical type.
  • Pre-University Examination will be of 100 marks, to be converted into 10 marks after evaluation for 2nd Year.
  • Pre-University Examination will be of 100 marks, to be converted into 15 marks after evaluation for 3rd and 4th Year.

Criteria for Awarding of marks for 2nd Year:

1 I-Sessional Max. Marks: 5 A
II-Sessional Max. Marks: 5 B
Pre-University Examination Max. Marks: 10 C
Total sessional marks Max. Marks: 20 A+B+C
I-Sessional Max. Marks: 7.5 A
II-Sessional Max. Marks: 7.5 B
Pre-University Examination Max. Marks: 15 C
Total sessional marks Max. Marks: 30 A+B+C

General Proficiency

The marks for General Proficiency shall be awarded by a committee constituted by the Principal/Director of the College/Institute on the basis of the the performance of a student in the co-curricular and extra–curricular activities and general discipline in the following manner:

  • Co-curricular & extra-curricular (games, sports, cultural and literary activities, etc.) - 60%
  • Discipline (inside and outside college/institute campus) - 40%

Over completion of the Course our graduates will have ability to:
  • Apply knowledge of computing, mathematical foundations, algorithmic principles, and engineering theory in the modeling and design of systems to real-world problems (fundamental engineering analysis skills).
